Costa wins New Product Showcase ‘Best of Eyewear’ Award at ICAST 2024

Costa's new 580G® Gold Mirror Lens in Grand Catalina earns the prestigious award voted on by attending media and buyers.

July 16-19, Costa Sunglasses attended ICAST 2024, the world’s largest sportfishing trade show. The event, held annually in Orlando, Florida, serves as an opportunity to connect with the  industry and share the brand’s latest innovations in apparel and optical and sunglass technology.

This year all eyes were on Costa’s new 580G® Gold Mirror Lens in the remastered Grand Catalina frame, which overwhelmingly won over ICAST media and buyers who voted for the duo to win the prestigious New Product Showcase: ‘Best of Eyewear’ Award.

Costa’s most versatile lens to date, the new 580G® Gold Mirror lens gives anglers an advantage whether offshore in full sun, poling a flat at dawn, or battling overcast skies. The rose base, mineral glass lens with encapsulated gold mirror offers a 14% VLT, 100% polarization and features Costa’s 580 color-enhanced lens tech. And when paired with Costa’s iconic Grand Catalina frame, brought back from the late 80s,  the combo is a must-have for aesthetic appeal and functional excellence.

Costa Sunglasses has taken home 14 of the last 16 New Product Showcase: ‘Best in Eyewear’ Awards at ICAST, winning for King Tide 8 in 2023 over 17 other entries.

The New Product Showcase (NPS) is one of the most important features for ICAST’s 600 exhibitors and more than 13,000 attendees, rewarding the sportfishing industry’s latest innovations across 41 product categories.
